We believe good mechanical work starts with proper diagnosis and clear communication.
Rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best, we take the time to understand the problem, explain what we've found and discuss the options with the customer before carrying out the work.
Whether you've brought us a Land Rover for a routine service, a Defender for a major conversion, or another vehicle for a difficult mechanical fault, our aim is always the same:

Based in Penzance, Cornwall, MADD Motors is proud to be an independent garage built around specialist knowledge, practical experience and a genuine passion for Land Rover and Defender vehicles.
MADD Motors Garage was built around a passion for vehicles and a particular interest in Land Rover, Defender and 4x4 engineering.
MADD Motors Garage was established in August 2025 by owner and mechanic Tom, with a clear aim: to provide honest, high-quality mechanical work with a particular focus on Land Rover, Defender and 4x4 vehicles.
Tom has over 17 years of experience in the motor trade, including 10 years specialising in Land Rover vehicles. Over that time, he has gained extensive experience working on everything from routine servicing and mechanical repairs to complex diagnostics, modifications, fabrication and specialist Defender engine conversions.
Land Rover and Defender vehicles are at the heart of MADD Motors. Whether it's keeping a daily-driven Defender reliable, diagnosing a difficult fault, carrying out repairs and maintenance, or taking on a complete bespoke build, we approach every vehicle with the same attention to detail and practical experience.
A growing independent garage
Since opening in August 2025, MADD Motors has continued to grow through recommendations, repeat customers and a reputation for doing things properly.
We will soon be moving to a larger workshop at Long Rock Business Park, Penzance very soon, giving us more space and facilities to take on larger Land Rover projects, engine conversions, fabrication and general workshop work. Until then, you can find us at Chywoone Rural Workshops in St Just, Penzance.
Although Land Rover and Defender vehicles are our specialist area, we also we also work on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Ford vehicles, providing servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs. We also have particular experience with Ford wet belt replacement.
